The watch
In very good condition with a unique aged dial. It seems to be lightly polished, but the original shape of the case is still present. The crystal has some scratches. The watch has been fully serviced by a professional watchmaker. With proper care, it should not require further servicing for many years. It comes on a new leather strap. The early 56 models featured a gold medallion on the caseback, the later models did not have these – probably to cut down on production costs.
These models often have a broken quickset function. In this watch, the plastic part was replaced by a (stronger) metal part. However, be cautious when changing the date – don’t do this between 9 and 4 at night when the mechanism is engaged, to avoid breaking.
Details
The Seiko 5625-7110 is one of the most iconic King Seiko models, part of the acclaimed King Seiko line known for its high quality and precision. This watch features a stylish, minimalist design with a stainless-steel case and a clean dial with simple hour markers and a date window at 3 o’clock. It is almost identical to the 5625-7000 but has a slightly rounder case shape than the 7000.
Introduced when Seiko was making a name for itself against Swiss luxury brands, the 5625-7110 showcases the brand’s commitment to accuracy and craftsmanship. The watch is powered by the 5625A movement, an automatic high-beat mechanism running at 28,800 beats per hour. This movement has 25 jewels and quickset date feature.
Overall, it is a classic timepiece that combines elegant design with exceptional functionality, making it a favorite among collectors.
