The watch
In exceptional mint ‘new old stock’ condition. Featuring a deep navy dial under a unique faceted crystal. The day can be displayed in Japanese Kanji and English. The original bracelet fits up to an 18cm wrist and still carries the original price tag, which shows a hefty price for that time. The caseback has some tiny scratches, apart from that it’s as new. Which is crazy, considering it was produced 47 years ago.
Details
In the 1970s, quartz technology was a groundbreaking innovation that transformed the watch industry. Unlike traditional mechanical watches, quartz movements offer unrivaled accuracy and reliability, requiring less maintenance and ensuring that timekeeping is precise. Introduced in the late 1960s, quartz watches quickly became known for their durability, affordability, and precision – shaking up the dominance of Swiss mechanical watches and democratizing luxury timepieces.
